The actress played Maria Callas in our Turkish metropolis and it was love at first sight
ISTANBUL, APRIL 26 – “In the future I could move to Istanbul”.
This was stated by Monica Bellucci, in an interview with the Turkish newspaper Hürriyet, after spending a few days in the city on the Bosphorus to present a play about Maria Callas.
“Even though mine was a short visit, I felt that this is a city to live. I will definitely come back for a longer trip” said the Italian film star who, last Friday at the theater of the Zorlu shopping center, collected great success playing the opera singer in the play “Maria Callas: letters and memories”, written and directed by Tom Volf, who sees her as the absolute protagonist.
