Mahzuni Şerif Symphony Concert

The opening concert of the 7th Istanbul International Folk Music Festival presents the works of the influential Turkish folk poet and songwriter Mahzuni Şerif in symphonic arrangements. The programme brings together Emre Altuğ, Uğur Aslan, Yiğit Mahzuni, Elif Buse Doğan and Yavuz Bingöl, accompanied by orchestral forces. The concert is scheduled for 2 October 2026 at the Atatürk Cultural Center’s Türk Telekom Opera Hall. It offers an accessible introduction to an important strand of Turkish musical culture while retaining the scale and production values of a major concert hall event. The official AKM page provides the programme, venue and ticket-access information.
