30th Istanbul Theatre Festival

The 30th Istanbul Theatre Festival, organised by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, runs from 22 October to 3 December 2026. The official festival announcement confirms that the programme brings productions from Türkiye and abroad to audiences at different Istanbul stages. The opening production is Lacrima by Caroline Guiela Nguyen and Théâtre National de Strasbourg, scheduled for 22–23 October; the festival also includes theatre and performance work by international and Turkish artists. Because the festival is distributed across several venues, visitors should use the official programme for the exact theatre, date and ticket details of each production. It is one of Istanbul’s strongest autumn options for contemporary theatre and international performing arts.
